Conference Accommodation
The Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) is in the heart of the city and is within walking distance of a range of accommodation options to suit all budgets - hotels, guest houses, bed and breakfasts and hostels. Summer months can be busy in the city and you are advised to book well in advance.

We have taken the opportunity to reserve accommodation in a variety of 3-5 star hotels in Edinburgh within walking distance of the EICC. All rates quoted are per room per night and include breakfast and taxes.
Rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The full amount must be paid in advance to confirm the booking. If you need to cancel your reservation we will not be able to refund any accommodation fees after 21st April 2010.
If you do not arrive at your accommodation on the due date, any subsequent nights will be cancelled and no refund will be available after 21st April 2010.

If the rooms in the hotels below are showing as fully booked, you are welcome to contact the hotel and make a booking with them directly.
On a Budget?
We recommend that you check the hotel websites first before booking accommodation with us, as they often have limited discounted promotional rates which you can benefit from by booking direct.
If you wish to share a room with a colleague to reduce your accommodation costs, please book a twin room. Only one of you will need to make the accommodation booking and payment on the online registration form.

Apartments & Hostels
If you are travelling with colleagues and would like to save costs, you may like to consider sharing a self catering apartment or a dormitory at one of the central hostels. Accommodation has been reserved in a variety of 1 - 3 bedroom apartments and hostels located close to the conference centre.

Welcome Reception
Monday 28 June 17.45hrs – 19.15hrs
The Welcome Reception will take place at the conference venue. This an informal evening open to all delegates at no extra cost. Refreshments and canapés will be served.
Pre-Dinner Drinks Reception & Conference Dinner
Wednesday 30 June

Conference Dinner 19.45hrs – 22.30hrs
The Conference Dinner is being held in the EICC. A pre-dinner drinks reception will be followed by a 3 course dinner, with wine/refreshments and musical entertainment.
Edinburgh Castle Reception
Thursday 1 July 19.00 - 21.00
We are delighted to announce that the Scottish Government Minister for the Environment will be hosting a reception in the stunning surroundings of Edinburgh Castle's Great Hall on Thursday 1 July from 19.00 - 21.00. More information will be announced later. Unfortunately, due to the limited space available, entry to this Reception will be by invitation only and we will not be able to accommodate all Conference participants. Invitations will be issued before the end of May by the Scottish Government on behalf of the Conference organisers. Please do not send requests for an invitation.
Things to do in Edinburgh
Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital is a truly beautiful, compact and safe city, ideal for exploring on foot. It is a vibrant, modern and dynamic and bustling with life and enterprise.
As a World Heritage site, it is famous for its Castle perched on a volcanic rock just a few minutes walk from where the conference will be held. There is also a plethora of stunning architecture and wonderful galleries, museums and theatres.
